Industry Leader Advertise.com Gets VAST Video from OrbitSoft
By helping the industry leader comply with VAST specifications, OrbitSoft also adds new functionality for Advertise.com’s system administrators and partners.

When Advertise.com decided to invest in new products for their video advertising division, they wanted to be able to show third-party VAST tags in the video players on partners’ websites.
VAST (Video Ad Serving Template) is a specification that sets a standard for communication requirements between ad servers and video players. To meet that standard, Advertise.com needed developers with a history of success meeting standards in both Internet advertising and programming. OrbitSoft won their trust.
DECISION
Based on their unique needs, we wrote a set of specifications for Advertise.com and developed various models that had control panels designed for both administrators and partners.
Administrator management features included the video VAST tags, partner management tools and detailed statistics. Partners could obtain the code for the video player, create sites, and view statistics through their own management features, as well.
Our OrbitSoft Ad Serving module was implemented with a function enabled to receive advertising from multiple third-party sources and work on the VAST protocol with event handling for views and clicks.
RESULTS
Advertise.com finally got a unique system complying with the VAST standards and worthy of a leader in the market. We installed the system on their servers, launched it in test mode, and watched the new video advertising sales take off as planned.
