AdvMedia Once Again Relies on OrbitSoft for a Cutting-Edge Content Services Payment System
OrbitSoft uses the Mobile Payment System to help its long-time client AdvMedia achieve success with new mobile payment application.
AdvMedia was awarded a contract to implement a payment system for content services which bills the mobile operator subscriber. The contract was signed between AdvMedia and mobile operator, one of the three largest operators in Russia. Furthermore, AdvMedia entered into an agreement with one of the largest Android Markets in China. Thus, subscribers of the operator setting of Android Market applications could pay for content services in applications from their account with the mobile operator.
Since OrbitSoft has already successfully completed two large projects for AdvMedia, the client once again approached us.
It was decided to base this project on the already implemented Mobile Payment System. Together with the customer, we agreed on requirements for the system in the form of technical specifications. On the basis of the required specifications, we created descriptions of all the features and functions of the system.
The system had to be integrated with the Android Market system to provide application developers with the ability to produce an SDK for payment from the account of the mobile operator. The developer had to provide statistics on payments and implement the billing module for payments to developers.
Upon the agreement and approval of specifications and prototypes, we started immediate implementation. During the development process, we used the already existing integration modules with carrier billing, modified the SDK to work with the Android Market, and made the Developer Dashboard integration with the cabinet system of Android Market Developer for a single authorization system.
After completion of development, we launched pilot projects in the mobile operator and the Android Market system. In the course of the pilot, we identified and eliminated all the shortcomings, streamlined interaction between all participants in the system, and tweaked performance bottlenecks.
The system is now ready for commercial launch. The company plans to launch AdvMedia system in all major mobile operators in Russia.
